This is one of the creatures from my "The fantastic Bestiary - Botanical Creatures", inspiredby the beautiful flower of Strelitzia.
Every print from "The Fantastic Bestiary" comes with a little explanation of the project, and from which plant the creatures was inspired by.

TIME SPENT
Creating a botanical creature requires to find the inspiration at first, which can take some moments or some weeks. Once I find it I start sketching, then drawing and colouring, for approximately 3 days. Then I photograph the painting and prepare the file for printing.
MATERIALS
Acrylics, ink, pastels, postcards and promarkers on paper. Then I use my canon to take pictures, and photoshop to prepare the printing file.
COSTS
Ordering prints in big quantities helps to lower the price, in my case I spend around 1 euro per print. Every print comes with a card that explains the core of the project and in a biodegradable transparent sleeve, for 0,40 cents each. I work from my studio which is 300€ per month, with high quality papers and materials.
