A fun, small vase with a monoprinted eye and leaves. Just a fun little vase to decorate your home. Lovely on its own or with a few branches in it. The piece is decorated with underglazes and copper oxide on the outside. The inside is glazed with a transparant glaze and the piece is fired to stoneware temperature (1240).
Dimensions: 11.5 x 13.5 cm. The opening at the top is 4 cm.

TIME SPENT
About half an hour throwing and trimming. The glazing took some time, monoprinting requires several layers and time in between to dry to just the right state. After that the piece is fired twice (around 8 hours firing time and 12 hours cooling).
MATERIALS
I use a potters wheel, a ceramics oven, engobes and glazes and some tools to trim and carve.
COSTS
Clay about €10 for 10 kilogram, seven colours of engobe around €8 per colour, two glazes for covering, a second hand potters wheel and kiln around €1500 buying and maintenance and electricity around €10 per firing.
