A curvy droplet shaped vase, raku fired with a celadon glaze.
The art of Raku firing dates back centuries. Ceramic pieces are fired rapidly and then removed from the kiln while still glowing hot. They are immediately placed into a container filled with sawdust, where the smoke and rapid changes in temperature create the characteristic crackles in the glaze and the striking contrast between light and dark.
These pieces aren't water tight, but nevertheless wonderfull on its own of with a branch.
