For this piece, I drew inspiration from the imagery of a coral reef. I worked a piece of ash wood and colored it with acrylic paint, resulting in a beautiful blue hue that still reveals the wood's grain. The attached tubes are crafted from the rare wood of the smoke tree—a shrub frequently found in gardens—featuring a truly unique and surprising color and growth-ring pattern.
