Hi, I’m Chantal — a Dutch cat artist, biologist, and lifelong nature lover. Before embracing art, I spent five years working as an ecologist focused on protected species in the Netherlands. That background shaped the way I observe the world: with curiosity, attention to detail, and deep appreciation for the beauty of animals and nature.

My artwork is inspired by the creatures that fascinate me most: cats. I love capturing their calm, independent spirit, their playful chaos, and the little expressions that make every cat completely unique. My style ranges from whimsical illustrations to semi-realistic portraits, always with a strong focus on personality and emotion.

At home, I share my studio with my two feline muses, Ket and Idli, who are usually close by while I paint — occasionally leaving muddy paw prints on a canvas or colorful tracks through the house. Their quirky energy and unapologetic individuality inspire every piece I create.
