Hi, I’m Chantal, a Dutch cat artist, biologist, and lifelong nature lover. Inspired by cats, I create whimsical illustrations and semi-realistic portraits that capture their unique personalities, emotions, and charm. My feline muses, Ket and Idli, keep me company while I paint, occasionally leaving muddy paw prints or colorful tracks, and inspiring my work with their quirky, playful energy. Through my art, I hope to celebrate the charm, character, and magic that make cats so beloved.

My Creative Process

"My original paintings are created using oil paints, acrylics, gouache, or watercolors. My prints are produced by a professional printing company based in the Netherlands. I use 100% recycled, chlorine-free, 300 g/m² paper for all my prints. Whenever possible I use reused, recycled or recyclable packaging material. "
