My passion for clay began in my childhood, but the real turning point came a number of years ago when I discovered hand-building. Translating the beautiful shapes and colors of nature into clay works gives me a feeling of joy and a deep respect for nature.
In my work, I look for a combination of various organic forms. I create sculptures that are transitional forms between coral, mushrooms, seaweed, etc. In doing so, I also try to capture the constant movement of nature in clay. When you look at my sculptures, they seem to actually move or grow, as if the transformation of form is still in full swing.
The creative process is essential to me. Building up the clay and refining the form in detail through glaze are moments that clear my mind. It has become a passion; I simply could not do without it anymore.
