Hi there! My name is Janneke. I am an embroidery artist based in The Hague. I live with my three amazing cats and boyfriend. I started my embroidery journey during my biology study. Most of my art is inspired by nature, animals, feminism, and anything that inspires me. The work you see here is my own art, but I also work on commission and often make pet portraits.

My Creative Process

"Making a pet portrait takes between 50-80 hours. I use up to 40 different colors of embroidery thread. My work is made on 100% colored cotton. You will receive your work in a light beech wood ring, ready to be hung on your wall! "
