Colour me Poetry. An interactive poetry artbook. Part 1 Houd me vast.| Art to Connect
Makers price
€21,74
This A5 poetry collection and colouring book in one is printed on soft yellow Biotop paper, giving each page a warm, soft appearance. The collection contains sensitive, pure poems written in a fresh language, leaving room for your own interpretation and inviting you to write yourself. Between the texts you will find tough illustrations that draw you further into the imagination, created from a mix of personal photography and images from magazines, carefully combined and hand-traced with carbon paper.
This is not just a booklet, but a personal experience and an encounter with human feelings.
Each copy is carefully and lovingly hand-stitched by Mijn Buuf Atelier, a sustainable, socially-minded enterprise that works with reused materials and has a focus on people and the environment. The booklet is wrapped in a refined rice paper cover and a second wrap of leftover material, making each copy unique.
As if you were receiving a small gift.
The bundle is artistically packaged in a playful candy bag, filled with stickers and small extras that enhance the experience. Perfect to give, but just as valuable to keep for yourself.
And this is only the beginning.
This edition is part of a series. This year, at least two more new bundles will be released. Collect them, pass them on, or keep them as a tangible moment of calm and creativity.

TIME SPENT
I work on this booklet for a total of about 8 weeks, which comes down to approximately 25 working days, because the process is not continuous and consists of scattered, intensive work sessions alternated with rest and incubation time.
MATERIALS
Biotop paper, thread, printed materials, plastic bags, leftover advertising fabric, paper from old municipal folders, waste paper, stamp ink, stickers, carbon paper, Nikon camera, laptop, car, bicycle, Adobe graphic suite, pens and pencils I make as much use as possible of residual streams and materials that I already have, I mainly move around by bicycle if possible, collaborate with social enterprises and workshops, and use recycled materials and especially a lot of handcraft to create a product that is attractive and unique and has as small a footprint as possible.
COSTS
The total cost per booklet is approximately €77 for a print run of 50 copies, when you include, alongside the material costs, workshop work, and design costs, also a proportional part of the camera as an investment in the production process of the work.
