TIME SPENT
About 3h per pair: includes an hour to use the lasercutter for one batch of earrings (10 pairs), 2-3h to design, paint and attach hook. I work on multiple pairs in one sitting.
MATERIALS
The tools and materials I use include the Trotec Q400 lasercutter, jewellery pliers, acrylic paint, varnish, plywood, laptop and Adobe Illustrator.
COSTS
Costs include a 120EUR/year Adobe subscription to make lasercutter-compatible files, the paints are 7EUR/tube, the plywood is 12EUR/batch, the jewellery supplies are 10EUR/batch.
