"I work with local wood from trees in gardens or from thrift store tables. After cutting the wood to size, I clamp it onto the lathe. The shape is created by my chisel. Once I am satisfied with the shape, I finish it by sanding and applying a beautiful coating of food-safe oil or wax. Usually, the finish is as natural as possible."
