This is a special one, a beautiful bottle vase. Thrown and altered to create a somewhat different shape. Made from reclaimed clay, which gives it some variety. It is very soft to the touch and pleasing to look at. The decor is monoprinted and a little heron was added to complement the hole shape. It's fully glazed and fired to stoneware temperature (1240), so it can hold water for a fresh flower.

TIJD BESTEED
Throwing, trimming and altering took about an hour. The decoration took a full day and then it was fired twice, which takes about 24 hours (heating up and cooling down)
MATERIALEN
I use a potters wheel, a ceramics oven, engobes, a lot of glazes and some tools to trim and carve.
KOSTEN
Clay about €10 for 10 kilogram, six colours of engobe around €8 per colour, two glazes for covering, a second hand potters wheel and kiln around €1500 buying and maintenance and electricity around €10 per firing.
